Nothing kills the festive spirit quite like shipping delays at this time of year. Let's prevent your gift from spending the holidays in a post office while everyone else exchanges theirs!
How to Avoid Shipping Delays in 2024
As Sabrina Carpenter says, "It's the most nonsense time of the year"! Santa's elves are overly caffeinated and working overtime, but that doesn't necessarily mean your package won't get stranded in the confusion.
We wanted to write this blog to let you know in advance what to expect when ordering Christmas packages as we get closer and closer to the silliest point in the season.
Our Holiday Shipping Recommendations
When placing your orders, please keep in mind that we are a West-coast based small-business. This generally means that shipping times will be longer for customers located on the East coast, but especially during the holiday season.
Throughout December, we will be sending out orders either the same day or within 1 business day—hopefully, this will get packages to our customers as soon as possible.
After a package leaves our small shop, it has a long way to go! Please be considerate that once a package is in the courier's hands, we're no longer in control of its fate. We recommend keeping an eye on the shipping tracker that we send via email with each order to get the most accurate updates.
On top of that, here are some important dates to keep in mind:
December 11th: Your last opportunity to save! We're adding a 10% off discount for any last-minute shoppers to grab their stocking stuffers. This sale will be active site-wide from 12:00 AM December 11th, 2024 to December 18th, 2024 at 11:59 PM PDT.
December 14th: In our opinion, this day is your last best chance to ensure packages arrive on time before the holidays. USPS guidelines state that your presents should make it on time if shipped before December 18th, but anyone who has shipped a gift at this time of year knows that is not guaranteed!
One Last Note & International Shipping
Incase you're out-of-the-loop, we've started offering international shipping over on our Etsy page. This has been a great experience as we have more opportunities to reach our audience overseas.
If you are an international customer and planning to place an order from our store, please keep in mind it will most likely not arrive before the holidays! The recommended send date for international orders is December 9th. As of uploading this blog post, that date has already passed.
Additionally, this year has been particularly tumultuous as many post office workers around the world are on strike. If you are a Canadian and looking to place an order for stationery we recommend holding off until after the holidays because of the Canada Post strike.
As always, we appreciate your continued support and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season! 🎁❄️
