Overview of the Hobonichi 2025 Lineup

The Hobonichi Techo 2025 full lineup will be officially revealed at 11:00 AM JST on 8/23, and until then they’ve been teasing items from the launch. Each day until the sales begin on September 1st at 11AM JPY, they will be announcing new products and giving information to hold us over!

There will also be a pre-release livestream on Instagram and Youtube on August 28th.

So far, they’ve announced a varied selection, including:

  • A teal Spy x Family cover inspired by the popular seasonal anime–featuring Loyd, Anya, and Yor on the front accompanied by a gold-foil 3D logo. The back cover features an illustration of Bond and there are plenty of tiny details that make it special.

  • A cover collaboration with Yoshida & Co. called “Stroll” which includes A6 Original size and A5 cousin size, intended to be used on-the-go with a shoulder strap.

  • Kinran fabric covers from the yuge fabric farm run by Enima Design, in A6 Original gold design as well as A5 Cousin in grey.

  • Hiroko Kubota’s Crescent Moon Delivery, showing a fox riding a bicycle in a sky of stars. This will be available in HON A5, A6 Original, A5 Cousin, and a Weeks book.

  • An adorable Paddington set that offers techos, stationery, and accessories.

  • Keiko Shibata’s “Bus management by Mr. and Mrs. Inoue” is available for the A6 Original, and “Emotional Reunion with Kariya-san” in A5. They also have other designs for a Weeks book, a Hobonichi Paper(s) notebook cover, as well as Cover on Cover.

  • A Hobonichi 5-Year Techo, available with covers specifically designed for them.
  • A 3-color Jetstream pen and four 5mm Graph Paper Notebook designs based on the Meiji era. These are bonus items available to those who purchase a qualifying techo from the Hobonichi store.

Top Pick #1: Himitsu Stranger

This collaboration is full of character and is sure to impress. The artist, Junaida, has drawn an illustration for each of the 13 songs in Spitz’s 17th album “Himitsu Studio”. This cover is cute, unique, and absolutely a must-have for fans of the artists involved.

If you’re interested in hearing music from the album the artwork was based on, give it a listen above!

Top Pick #2: One Piece Edition Hobonichi Techo 2025

Let’s be honest–this is one of the most detailed collaborations and fans of the anime are going to love adding this limited edition stationery set to their collection! Including the birthdays of every character (up until volume 107) as well as original illustrations and 365 of memorable quotes from the series, you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on this one.

The covers aren’t the only amazing thing: You can add a Deco Rush tape, a pochitto6, and a stappo to your collection with this set. If that’s not enough, there’s also a ton of exclusive bonus pages that look like a ton of fun to fill out.

Top Pick #3: Crescent Moon Delivery

Last but not least, Hiroko Kubota’s whimsical illustrations is absolutely a stand-out cover. Despite not having all the flashy bells and whistles of some of the other sets, the illustrations for these covers are absolutely gorgeous.

In the drawing, a fox is delivering the moon to someone but we don’t know who, and he floats delicately on a road full of starlight. I can’t help but be drawn to this beautiful moment!

Conclusion
